Bri just got checked and she's up to a 7, almost 8! Great news! Caleb is doing amazing and all of the tracings look great. Bri keeps changing position and is getting some needed rest in preparation for the pushing in the near (hopefully) future.
Thanks again for the all the encouraging comments. The midwife we've had for the last 12 hours has been so awesome. This hospital is so conservative and patient and is just letting Bri progress on her own. There couldn't be a better hospital for how Bri wanted things. On top of that, it was built a few months ago and the rooms are huge and comfy and ultra clean. Also, it's not very common that she's been here so long and they haven't been pushing her to start pit. The new midwife we're getting for the next 12 hours is older and apparently well-known nationally and got some award. She actually delivered the baby of the midwife that had all day today and loved. The nurses have been so great to us. Bri's homemade cookies she baked brought in for them likely didn't hurt either.

Hands down, teaching hospitals allow you to do the most before putting you in for a C. Good Luck, we are still thinking about you guys!
Yeah! I am so glad the hospital is being so patient and letting Bri do what she needs to do....I hope she goes pit free and is able to push Caleb out easily! All the time before pushing was hardest for me, when it came time to push I pushed my babies out in 10 min....I hope Bri has a similar experience where she can push Caleb out in a short amount of time...I could feel what was going on and it was somewhat numb as well, so when it came time to push, I imagined what it should feel like to use my lower abdominals and put all my energy into engaging those muscles even though I couldn't feel them very well, and it helped, I had no trouble pushing out the 2 babies I have had...GO BRI....YOU ARE IN MY PRAYERS!!! Whoo Hoo! Here comes your beautiful son any time now...:)
WOOHOO!! Go Bri! You can do it, girl! You've got angels surrounding you right this very minute.
Bri you are a CHAMPION! And Dan, you are doing such a great job at being by her side through all of this. It is so AWESOME that you are allowing everyone to be part of this by posting and keeping us up to date. How incredible to have so many prayers going up in your behalf!
Dan, I was just thinking about a family that used to be in the ward. She was induced and labored for about 36 hours before having a successful vag. When the baby started to show signs of distress Dr. V did an amniotic infusion. Hopefully you don't have much longer!
You are amazing..... You are in our prayers. Hang in there it appears you are on the down hill stretch. I can tell from your earlier comments that you both know.... once you have Caleb in your arms, and you hold that little miracle from heaven it will all have been worth it. We wish we lived closer.... our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you both, especially Bri during this very special time of bringing a new life into the world. We are confident all will turn out great and you will soon be able to enjoy having Caleb in your arms. We love you very much and we are proud of your efforts to deliver him as naturally as possible. Love, Dad and Mom
Geez Laweeze...
I am soooo grateful that I have man parts and not girl parts... I don't know if I could do what Bri is having to do!
Best of luck Bri, I can't wait to have a new nephew!!! YEAH!!!!
Please let us know ASAP he is out of your vah JJ. ;)
Love you, you're in our prayers.
Daniel Hoopes!!!!! We stayed up until midnight and then I've been up since 4:30 this morning and have continually checked this blog to find out what's happening! I know I'm being a very anxious Mommy and Maga, but you know that's my job! I don't want to call in case you are both sleeping, but please call as soon as you are up. This has not only been a very long sleepless night for the two of you, but for all of us who love you two and baby Caleb. PLEASE CALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL or post what's up!
I am looking forward to the next update. I too woke up early and had to check how things are going. You are both still in my prayers and thoughts, for the best possible birth of Caleb!
