Welcome Baby Caleb

One of the greatest moments of my life just happened. He's got the correct numbers of everything and very light-haired. Definitely cute. Bri is working on breastfeeding right now.

After about 40 hours of labor, and 3 hours of pushing, he finally came. One explanation for why he took so long to come: 8 pounds, 14 ounces. Big, especially since he probably was a pound less when Bri started labor forever ago.

Congratulations! We are so happy that Bri can now concentrate on the joy of motherhood, rather than the "pressure waves" of labor. He is such a cutie! And Mom and Dad seemed to have weathered it okay too! You continue to be in our prayers, especially of thanksgiving for an excellent result. We love all three of you very much. Love, Mom and Dad

Horray! Welcome to the world Caleb! Bri looks beautiful and Caleb is SO cute. You look good too Dan, but you are probably used to pulling such long shifts!

Congratulations on your sweet baby boy!

AHHH! He's the cutest thing EVER!!!

I am so, so happy for you three.

Now, Caleb, we're gonna have to have a chat later about why it took so long in there...

He is a great looking boy! Congrats to the three of you. Bri is quite the trooper (Heather's labors are about 40 seconds ...)

When do you think you will head back to your new house? Enjoy the time at the hospital where the nurses help with everything - pretty soon you'll be in the 'real world'.

Love,

Jon & Heather

Bri, you are the WOMAN!! 40 hours of labor on your first one?!They do say it gets shorter with each baby:) Hi, Dan! I know this is a late comment but I didn't know you had a blog. GranMarne told me about it so I came to have a look. This is your cousin, Melinda (Smith) Huyck, the one who lives in FL.
